Resource Specialist Program

The Resource Specialist Program consists of the Verde Communities volunteers who respond to emergency situations under the direction of our Fire District personnel. The District considers this position a very important asset to our community.

Volunteers are not required to have specific skills or training, only a genuine interest in providing assistance to Fire District personnel and the residents of the Verde Communities.

The Fire District provides training one day per month in addition to special training events throughout the fall/winter season.

Resource Specialists carry Fire District communications equipment and rotate “on-call” status. The shift assignments are determined monthly.

Verde Community members interested in participating in the Resource Specialist Program may download an application from our website and mail or drop it off at our Administrative Office located at the fire station.
