    Rio Verde Fire District

    Anticipated Board Vacancy

    The Rio Verde Fire District Board of Directors anticipates that there will be an opening for a Board member on or after March 15, 2018.

    The five-member Board oversees the Rio Verde Fire District. The Board is responsible for District policy and financial decisions supported by property Tax Revenues from the Rio Verde, Tonto Verde, and Trilogy at Verde River communities.

    The Board is soliciting applications for this vacant position for which its term will conclude November 26, 2018. To qualify you must be a registered voter within the Rio Verde Fire District boundary for at least the last consecutive twelve months and be available to attend monthly meetings in person or by conference call.

    Dimerling, Johnson Experienced Firefighters make RVFD New Home

    Rio Verde Fire District Chief Jay Ducote announced that two new firefighters have joined the team to serve the district. Craig Dimerling and Josh Johnson both started work on Tuesday, Nov. 29. “Both have a vast amount of experience and we are pleased they decided to come over to be part of our RVFD team,” Ducote said. Dimerling worked more than 17 years with the Sun Lakes Fire District. He was a paramedic/captain and is also a certifi ed wildland fi refi ghter. Johnson has more than six years of experience with the Black Canyon Fire District. He served as a paramedic/captain and is also certified as a Wildland Engine boss.
